Week 5

Healthy you challenge
So this week I weight in at 166lbs. A total of 20lbs all together. I am happy. But feel that I could be doing a little better.

Things have been very stress full this week.

I have been still pushing myself to eat healthier foods. And better portions of food.

For exercising I have been doing about 4-5 per week.

I am still needing to try harder to drink more water!!!!

Week 4

Healthy you challenge
I weight in at 166.5!!!! Wooo whooo. I lost another 3lbs. I was kind of scared that I wasn't going to loose any because I have had way to much pop and not enough water.

I know that drinking pop will cause you not loose weight. It is just hard sometimes. At work it is really easy for me to drink water. But at home is where I have the problem.

So that is my goal for this week. Try to drink more water.

Stretch bands part 2


In a old post of mine I asked the question if anyone used stretch bands.

No one commented. That shocks me. A little over a year ago I used to go to aerobics class. Part of the time they would always use them. That is how I really found out about them. They are so Awesome.

I try to do my eliptical everyday other day and strech bands on the oppisit days. I found a really good video on Spark People It is 20 minutes long and there are simple things you can do at home or at the office.

It really makes your muscles burn.

Week 3

Healthy you challenge
Ok so here I am checking in. I know I am late but better late then never.

169.5lbs. I didn't gain any nor loose any. Over the weekend I was with a friend the whole time looking over wedding things and meeting with people. She will be getting married about 8 months before me so I choose to tag along, So I can see what people offer. Anyways, I didn't workout at all and I had very unhealthy foods a couple of times. So I guess you can say I am happy at least I didn't gain any back, Right?

In the past couple of days I have been starting to see my legs change, I am been extremely tired lately but have managed to still work out for a 1/2 hour. I am trying to get into the habit of doing something everyday even when I don't feel like it. Because once I don't do it one day it is harder to get up and do it the next. And pretty soon I won't be doing it at all.

I just couldn't take it.

Despite the fact that I was down weight yesterday and excited about it. All night long I had the munchies. I did my best for most the night not to snack.

While cleaning I realized there was one of those new Reeses whipped peanut butter bars!!!! I hadn't tried them before..... 70% less fat. I took a bite...then two.... then three. I quickly threw it down and gave it to my daughter. Got up. I felt sick because I was so disappointed in my self.

I knew what would make me feel better.....

So I went and got my shoes on and hopped on my elliptical. Did it for 30 minutes while watching Biggest Loser. That means I did my elliptical for 60 minutes all together. I can surly feel it in my legs today.

But as they say no pain no gain....

I learned something though. How crappy you feel when you don't stick to your plan. And how could you and your body feels when you do stick to your plan.

Week 2

Healthy you challenge
I am so excited to tell you that I am down 4.5lbs. YAY!!!!
I am jumping out of my seat!!!!!
169lbs!!!! I don't know the last time I weighed that.
Now I have been thinking about this. I got engeged last September. That is when I decided that I was going to lose all my weight for my Wedding. I went and bought my eliptical etc. I went to the doctor back then too. I weighed 186lbs. I was kinda trying at first to lose wieght and I did a little (but that I think was because I stopped eating fast food 6 months ago).
These past couple of weeks I have been really trying on soul searching to help me threw this. I am trying to take time out on just me And focusing on my self while working out 1/2 everyday. And It is actually working!!! All together I have lost 16.5lbs!!!!

week 1

Healthy you challenge
Hello everyone my name is Patti. And I am here because I need to change my life style, make myself healthier.
My goal is to lose 40lbs by the end of this summer. 50lbs if I can. So that I can go out and buy my wedding dress.
I am getting married in May of 09.
Another goal is to work out 30 minutes a day. Right now I am sitting around 20 minutes to nothing a day. I am really trying hard to make room in my busy day for my work out.
i am very excited to meet all of you.
Oh ya and I lost 2 lbs down to 174lbs YAY for me!!!!
